19 June – Sunday Service at The Swiss Church in London

19 June at 11:00 am Morning Service at The Swiss Church in London

We are delighted to be having a Sunday Service  this coming Sunday at the Church at 79 Endell Street, Covent Garden, London.

We look forward to welcoming you all. Sunday is Fathers’ Day in the United Kingdom. So, central London might be busier than usual. You may need to allow a little more time for your journey. Rest assured that when you arrive, you will receive a warm Swiss welcome, whatever your faith tradition is.

Our Minister Reverend Carla Maurer will lead the service and preach the sermon based around the theme of fathers and families. The bible reading will be from Genesis chapter 37, verses 1-11, which tells the story of Joseph, and his dream of greatness. The passage has been the inspiration for many reinterpretations: from Joseph and The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, to the speeches of Martin Luther King.

The bible passage will be read by Colin McIntyre, member of the Consistoire (trustee) of the Swiss Church in London. Click here to read the passage in English, French, German and Italian.

Peter Yardley-Jones, Director of Music, will play the church Späth organ.

Flowers provided and arranged by congregation member Fernande Kunz.

Please also note that following the service the church will be holding its Annual General Meeting which will begin at 12.30pm. The church service will end shortly after 12:00 midday.
