10 December, 7pm – Behold, The Invisible. A collaborative performance
Arts and Culture – Sunday, December 1st, 2019
Marking the end of his Swiss Church residency, Hamed Maiye invites guests to experience ‘Behold, The Invisible!’ – A collaborative installation and performance exploring the parallels between surrealism, spiritualism and reality. Maiye explores the internalisation of the feelings of conflict towards faith and identity and how the two can manifest into personal iconographies using surrealism as a tool of visualisation. In collaboration with artists Roxanne Tataei, twin duo Che & preview of a new photographic series by Hamed Maiye & Adama Jalloh, we invite guests into an alternate realm, exploring new iconographies and spiritual identity.
