Church Service Schedule

We gather for church services every fortnight; on the first and on the third Sunday of the month.

Services begin at 11am in the Swiss Church, 79 Endell Street, London WC2H 9DY.

• Sunday 7 September, 11am  – with choir and communion
• Sunday 21 September, 11am – Federal Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving
• Sunday 5 October, 11am – with choir and communion
• Sunday 19 October, 11am
• Sunday 2 November, 11am – Reformation Sunday, with choir and communion
• Sunday 16 November, 11am – Remembrance Sunday, with choir and commemoration of the dead
• Sunday 7 December, 11am – 2nd Advent, with choir and communion. Followed by Swiss Family Christmas
• Sunday 14 December, 5pm – Christmas carol service
• Sunday 21 December – Christmas Service, with kids program

The service on the first Sunday of the month includes communion. Everyone is invited to receive communion. People of all denominations and faith groups are welcome. Whether your are a firm believer, a spiritual seeker or of a different persuasion, please do come and join.

Sermons are preached in English. Some parts of the liturgy, including hymns, are in French and German.

We use of the Lectionary (list of bible readings) of the Evangelisch-reformierte Kirche Schweiz to choose the bible readings and the theme of the sermon.

Music is an integral part of our services. Our hymns are accompanied by our Director of Music, Peter Yardley Jones, on the Swiss-built Späth organ or on Steinway grand piano.We sing traditional as well as modern hymns in German, French and English. We are privileged to regularly be joined by High Holborn Chamber Choir and Southwark Chamber Choir.
